March 29 Public Meeting Set for Southwest Kilpatrick Extension Preliminary Alignment

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) is hosting a community public meeting Tuesday, March 29 to present the preliminary alignment for the Southwest Kilpatrick Extension. This project will be an extension of the Kilpatrick Turnpike that will connect southwest Oklahoma City and the metro area at-large with the urban core. It will increase access and offer another route for Will Rogers World Airport. It will occur between I-40 and State Highway 152/Airport Road.

At this come and go meeting, engineers and right-of-way experts will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions and receive input from the community on the preliminary alignment.

There will not be a public presentation or hearing at this meeting. Individuals will have the ability to speak one-on-one with engineers and right-of-way experts. The preliminary alignment presented will not be completely representative of the final alignment. Comments from this meeting will be taken into consideration before a final alignment is determined. An additional public meeting will be announced to present the final alignment on this project following this meeting.
