UPDATE: April 26 Public Meeting Postponed Due To Severe Weather
The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority is canceling its public meeting today, April 26, on the Southwest Kilpatrick Extension at the Mustang North Middle School due to the closing of Mustang school facilities as a result of the threat of severe weather.
The public meeting has been rescheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, April 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mustang North Middle School.
The Southwest Kilpatrick Extension design alignment map will be posted at 6 p.m. this evening on www.drivingforwardok.com.
UPDATED RELEASE BELOW: OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (April 26, 2016) — The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) is hosting a community public meeting Wednesday, April 27 to present the design alignment for the Southwest Kilpatrick Extension. This project will be an extension of the Kilpatrick Turnpike that will connect southwest Oklahoma City and the metro area at-large with the urban core. It will increase access and offer another route for Will Rogers World Airport. It will occur between I-40 and State Highway 152/Airport Road.
At this come and go meeting, engineers and right-of-way experts will be available from 6 to 8 p.m. to answer questions and receive comments from the community on the design alignment. The design alignment to be unveiled will provide the public additional information regarding alignment adjustments and interchange locations selected.
